WHY ACUPUNCTURE?
The World’s Health Organization (WHO) has recognized acupuncture to treat many illnesses, and is now the most researched and accepted natural holistic therapy in the Western world. It is used by many health institutions and hospitals around the world along with conventional Western medicine.

Acupuncture is a safe medicine which has very little or no side effects when used by a trained practitioner. It can be used alone or combined with traditional medicine to diminish and counter the effects of medications, increase recuperation and healing from surgery, to increase the immune system, to decrease side effects of radiation and chemotherapy, to considerably decrease and sometimes take away pain, and to treat anxiety and depression caused by trauma as in PTSD. Also, among many other conditions, it can be used to prevent illnesses and to preserve a healthy complexion.

Why AcuBalance Center of Houston?

AcuBalance Center has a unique setting which is very comfortable and patients feel taken care of and safe. After their clinical history, patients get a measure of their energy in their acupuncture meridians with AcuGraph, followed by a Japanese style reflex diagnosis to assist in finding the root of the presenting problem. The treatment focuses on balancing the acupuncture meridians (or channels of energy) along with treating the symptoms. I use Japanese needles which are the best quality available and are practically painless, and very acceptable for most children and adults. After the placement of needles, patients are left to relax for about 20 minutes with soft music intended for a deep relaxation and healing. In severe pain cases the placement of electrodes with very low frequencies are used to help decrease the pain and inflammation. I also offer ear acupuncture protocols with a low level laser (no needles) which emits the Nogier frequencies specific to each section of the body, and gold pellets are placed in the ear points to reinforce and expand the effect of treatment. In addition, I also recommend Chinese herbal medicine formulas which are professional grade and guaranteed to be safe and effective.

At AcuBalance Center your therapist has been doing acupuncture since 2004 and lately has been successfully treating issues associated with ADHD (in children and adults), digestive issues, seasonal allergy, stress, anxiety and depression, pain, (especially neck, back, knees, plantar fasciitis, sciatic, disc herniations, TMJ), and neuropathy caused by the effects of chemotherapy.
