Several years ago in another state, I began receiving acupuncture for fatigue caused by hypothyroidism that my prescribed medication could not affect. After moving to Houston, I had a difficult time finding an acupuncturist who was as thorough as my previous acupuncturist. I chose to visit Emma because the picture of her kind and gentle face reminded me of home. I had hoped she would treat me as a person and not just a patient. I was delighted when she greeted my warmly. She explored my condition using the AcuGraph and her own hands-on assessment. She took her time asking me questions about the aspects of my health, and she happily answered my questions about treatment procedures and options. From my first appointment, my treatments have been comfortable. I have never felt rushed.
Recently, my treatments have focused on acid reflux caused by a nervous stomach. Emma used auricular therapy, which helped greatly. My pain has all but disappeared.
